Stuffed French Toast Recipe
With a split banana, fresh whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and all the sauces, this sundae-style dish consists of thick vanilla French toast filled with strawberry cream cheese. With Serayah's inspiration.
ingredients
2tablespoons cream cheese
1tablespoon strawberry jam
1⁄4cup strawberry, sliced
2slices French bread
1egg
1⁄2cup heavy cream
1⁄2teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1⁄2teaspoon brown sugar
1pinch cinnamon

directions
Ø Put the strawberry jam and cream cheese in a small bowl. Add the sliced strawberries and stir.
Ø Make a pocket in each piece of bread by making a slit through the side, but do not cut all the way through.
Ø Place the strawberry filling inside the pocket and gently close it.
Ø Whisk the egg, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a small basin. Soak each side of the bread by dipping it into the egg mixture. Remove any extra liquid by shaking. Slices of bread should be cooked on a nonstick skillet or griddle that has been lightly oiled over medium heat for about two minutes on each side, or until browned on both sides. Take off the heat.
Ø Use the split banana to frame the French toast. Add a little powdered sugar. Top with the remaining ingredients, forming a sundae.
