Chocolate Mousse Recipe

 

This is taken from THE REALLY GOOD FOOD COOK BOOK. You won't believe how wonderful this mousse is! It is sure to be a hit at even the most elegant dinner parties or family gatherings, I promise.

ingredients

·       8 ounces chocolate chips

·       6 tablespoons water

·       2 teaspoons vanilla

·       2 cups whipping cream

·       ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar

DIRECTIONS

 

§  In a saucepan, melt water and chocolate

 

§  Add the vanilla and whisk.

 

§  Let it cool.

 

§  Beat the cream.

 

§  Pour in the powdered sugar.

 

§  Add the chocolate and beat on low.

 

§  Transfer the chocolate mousse into a transparent glass bowl using a spoon.

 

§  Add some of the chocolate from the pan on the top or grated chocolate as a garnish.
